Honda Introduces a Redesigned ‘H’ Logo for Its Electric Future
Honda has officially revealed a refreshed version of its iconic ‘H’ emblem, representing the brand’s first significant logo update in more than four decades. The redesign aligns closely with Honda’s long-term vision for electrification and innovation.
Designed Alongside Next-Generation Electric Vehicles
The new ‘H’ mark was developed in parallel with Honda’s upcoming electric and hybrid-electric vehicle lineup. Beginning in 2027, the updated logo will appear on next-generation models, including the Honda 0 Series. Beyond vehicles, the emblem will also be rolled out across motorsports programs, dealership signage, and brand communications worldwide.
A Minimalist Design With Structural Character
Visually, the redesigned logo features two upright vertical elements joined by a smooth, U-shaped crossbar. The design eliminates sharp angles, replacing them with softly tapered edges for a more refined and modern appearance. The uprights widen slightly at the top, while the inner curves create a deep U-shaped form that gives the symbol a strong, grounded presence.
A Standalone Symbol Without a Border
One of the most notable changes is the removal of the surrounding circle that previously enclosed the ‘H’. By allowing the mark to stand on its own, Honda has transformed the logo into a cleaner, more flexible visual identity suited for digital platforms, electric vehicles, and future-facing applications.
